BurnFX is the brand created by Davide Borra, an artisan from Brescia with over thirty years of live experience and deep expertise in electronic design. His mission is to build guitar pedals and amplifiers capable of meeting the most sophisticated and personal tonal needs, while staying true to the philosophy of high-quality musical craftsmanship.

With a radiotechnician diploma earned in 1987, Davide began his journey modifying effects for friends and fellow musicians. The evolution was natural: creating his own line, entirely handmade and tailored to the needs of those who truly live music.

Collection and Customization

Burnfx Pedal Collection
Burn FX products range from effect pedals to tube amplifiers, each built using selected components and often customizable. The catalog includes:

  • Distortions and overdrives: including LineDrive, Jerk, Poundcake, New FocusDrive and more, featuring original circuits or reinterpretations of classic designs, built in point-to-point or on traditional PCBs.
  • Modulations and ambience effects: Chorus, Phaser, Tremolo, Vibe and Delay designed to offer sonic depth and control, with particular attention to low noise.
  • Utility tools: buffers, boosters, switchers, mixers and loop boxes built for maximum practicality and signal transparency.
  • Tube heads and combos
  • 1×12 or 2×12 cabinets

Every pedal comes with a lifetime warranty and is entirely handmade in Davide’s workshop.

Electronic minimalism is the guiding principle behind Burn FX’s design: achieving maximum results with the fewest possible components. This translates into:

  • Selected components: no SMD parts, only traditional through-hole components for durability and serviceability.
  • Low noise and high dynamics: technical solutions aimed at achieving the best signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Point-to-point wiring: used in some models, ensuring longevity, customization potential and easy servicing.

Production is limited to a few units per year, with each project refined over time and tested both in the workshop and on stage.
