Crafting Excellence: Andrea Pollice

Andrea Pollice Alusonic

The story of Alusonic Audio Technology began in 2010 with the intuition of Andrea Pollice, known in the industry as “Polly”. With a clear vision: to create instruments that combine innovation, design, and Italian craftsmanship, Alusonic has developed over time a unique range of basses and electric guitars that have won over musicians worldwide.

Every Alusonic instrument is designed and handcrafted in Italy, combining traditional materials like wood with cutting-edge solutions, including the use of aerospace-grade aluminum and carbon fiber. This choice allows for lightweight instruments with powerful sound and iconic looks. Over the years, Andrea has collaborated with international artists and developed proprietary components such as pickups, preamps, and bridges, turning Alusonic into a benchmark brand for those seeking a unique sonic experience.

The Collection

Alusonic Collection
The Alusonic collection includes basses and electric guitars that combine patented “Hybrid” technology with Italian design. From iconic models like the Django Supreme and The Doom series to the aluminum StratOSonic guitars, each instrument is crafted to offer a perfect balance between sound, ergonomics, and aesthetics.

The construction approach is based on:

  • Innovative materials: aerospace aluminum, carbon fiber, and selected woods such as swamp ash and maple.
  • Proprietary components: pickups, bridges, and preamps developed in-house for a unique sonic signature.
  • Complete customization: every model can be personalized in finishes, electronics, and hardware to fit the musician’s needs.
  • Handcrafted assembly: each instrument is entirely handmade in Italy and individually tested.

Construction Philosophy, Techniques, and Materials

Alusonic Bass Construction Techniques

Alusonic’s philosophy is encapsulated in the motto “Play Different, Feel a New Sound Experience”. Each bass and guitar is designed to provide the musician with a versatile, powerful, and personal sonic platform. The use of aluminum and composite materials is not only aesthetic but aimed at enhancing sustain, dynamic response, and clarity.

Each instrument is built with advanced manufacturing techniques such as CNC milling of aerospace-grade aluminum blocks, combined with hand assembly and the typical care of Italian craftsmanship. Finishes range from glossy mirror finish to matte carbon fiber, with full customization options.
