The Mosswood series was born from an ambitious challenge: honoring tradition without remaining its prisoner. With this model, Barn Custom Guitars introduces a brand new shape designed for those who love the soul of the ‘Tele’ but seek a distinct and original visual identity. The curves of the body become softer and more contemporary, creating a perfect synthesis between modern comfort and vintage spirit. The Mosswood is a versatile canvas: from the deep tactile feel of natural and ‘aged’ woods (like the dark thinline version) to the freshness of colored finishes with a skillful and realistic relic. It is an instrument that does not go unnoticed, dedicated to the guitarist who wants to stand out on stage with a classic voice but a look never seen before.
Body: Brand new Mosswood design. An exclusive silhouette engineered to differ from standard shapes, while maintaining the typical mass and resonances that T-style fans love. Crafted with top-quality raw materials, available in both solid body and semi-hollow (thinline) configurations with an f-hole.
Neck: Optimized profile for superior playability. The headstock, as visible in the photographic details, features the screen-printed logo and model name, completed by high-precision vintage-style tuners with cream or metal keys.
Finish: Executed with high-level artisanal techniques. Options range from natural which highlights the grain and open pores of the wood, to solid color finishes (Daphne Blue, Sunburst, or metallic finishes) subjected to aging processes for an immediate broken-in feel.
Pickups: The beating heart of the instrument is the hand-wound set of Barn Pickups. Hand-wound single coils with Alnico 5 magnets, hand-wrapped and coated in vintage cloth. The sound is clear, crystalline, and rich in dynamics. The coils are completely sealed in a bath of beeswax and paraffin to guarantee pure reproduction free of microphonic noise.
Electronics: Professional configuration with RW/RP (Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity) winding for hum cancellation in combined positions. State-of-the-art boutique wiring with custom Kohm ratings available on customer request.
Hardware: Vintage three-saddle bridge (brass or steel) for maximum tone transfer, classic control plate, and hand-finished frets for smooth, precise action.
